Ashley Miers is a Los Angeles-based songwriter and commercial actress/hosting personality. Originally from Nebraska, Ashley got her career start in Colorado while attending college at the University of Denver. Outside of school, Ashley began modeling and acting, working with local producers and directors, and securing representation with a local talent agency. Additionally, while studying abroad, Ashley worked with a small agency in Adelaide, Australia where she helped to produce and host a series of modeling competitions. In Denver, and later in LA, Ashley attended classes and workshops to both hone her performance skills and to learn the ins and outs of the industry. Working her way up through hair shows, runway/fashion events, and extra work, Ashley began to build a career out of doing the things she loves best.
Ashley relocated to LA to continue pursuing her creative interests upon graduating from college with an ambitious double major/double minor. In LA, Ashley became involved in the music industry and quickly progressed to recording an EP and a debut album “Aftershock”. She embarked on a 3-city CD release tour in the spring of 2010 in partnership with Mental Health America and was later flown to Washington, D.C. to speak and perform at the 2010 Mental Health America annual conference. The first song on Ashley’s “Aftershock” album, “Tangled” (which Ashley co-wrote with Elizabeth Russo and Erik Colvin), was licensed for use on the ABC Family show “Make It or Break It”. Subsequently, Ashley has written and recorded many more songs and has also scored several small video projects including a PSA about meditation and mental health for Mental Health America, and an informative video developed by her college sorority Gamma Phi Beta to promote the organization’s philanthropic efforts to empower young girls.
In addition to creating music, Ashley frequently acts in commercials, typically being cast as a “young mom”, “girlfriend/girl next door”, or as a hosting personality. Ashley has been featured in national and international commercials for 76 (“The Quiet Game”/”We’re on the Driver’s Side”) and Smart Car Europe (“Public Transport”). Ashley’s acting credits also include hosting roles in corporate video projects for clients such as Quizno’s, St. Jude Medical, and Time Warner Cable.
Today, Ashley has managers for both music and acting, and she is currently working on several projects in both Los Angeles and Nashville, TN.
